Top wines from the Rhine and Nahe
If you are looking for the much-praised Rhine romanticism on the Rhine or the "liquid gems" on the Nahe, the wineries in the Rhine-Nahe vacation region are the place to be.
A total of 10 wine-growing communities with 600 hectares of vineyards offer a variety of outstanding wines that are second to none.
Thus, more than 43% of the wines are Prädikatsweine, which have been awarded many times in international comparisons. The topography of the two valleys means that 85% of the vines are grown on steep slopes with a gradient of over 30%.
On the terraces of the steep slopes, three out of four vines are planted with the Riesling grape. It finds ideal growing conditions on the mineral slate soils and the mild, climatic conditions.

But Müller-Thurgau, Kerner, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc are also at home in our two wine-growing regions. Among the red wines, Pinot Noir and Dornfelder dominate.
In recent years, numerous wineries have taken to sparkling a portion of their Riesling harvest and offer regionally typical, characterful vintner's sparkling wines; sparkling wine that is not inferior to classic champagne. Schnapps, liqueurs and brandies complete the offer of our wineries.
