Opera Concert: “The World of Opera Comes to Weiler”

Saturday, April 18, 2026, 7:00 p.m.
Weiler, Rhein-Nahe Halle

The Weiler Men’s Choir has big plans for the year of its 140th anniversary. It invites you to a concert evening—one that has become rather rare and is therefore quite extraordinary—featuring works “From the Grand World of Opera.” The concert will take place on Saturday, April 18, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at the Rhein-Nahe-Halle in Weiler. With over 40 singers, the Weiler Men’s Choir has made a name for itself in the region thanks to its highly motivated choir director, Andreas Arneke, enthusiastic singers, ambitious goals, and exciting projects.

For this concert, musical director Andreas Arneke has put together a challenging program of world-renowned opera repertoire for men’s choirs. The program features German, French, and Italian works—some sung in their original languages. The program has already generated enthusiasm during the preparations, and that is exactly what the choir hopes to convey to the audience.

The Frankfurt Symphony Orchestra is a nationally renowned and accomplished ensemble that has mastered its craft. Its repertoire ranges from classical music, including symphony concerts, to opera galas featuring international soloists and choral concerts. The musicians, who normally perform with Hessischer Rundfunk and the opera and state orchestras in Frankfurt, Darmstadt, and Wiesbaden, are highly experienced artists and sought-after concert partners for the gems of German, Italian, and French opera. Two soloists enrich the ensemble. The orchestra conveys the magic of music at the highest artistic level.

Advance ticket sales for the concert are in full swing. Tickets priced at 25 euros can still be purchased not only through the online ticketing service but also directly from the association itself. They will be available on Friday, April 10, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Liederkranzsaal at City Hall (1st floor).
