UNESCO World Heritage Day on June 6, 2021
UNESCO has recognized 46 monuments and nature reserves in Germany as World Heritage Sites. On June 6, UNESCO World Heritage Day, you can discover them all at the same time - on the Internet or on site.

UNESCO World Heritage Day 6.6.2021
UNESCO World Heritage is diverse: from the water management system in Augsburg, the monastery island of Reichenau in Lake Constance and the Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex in Essen to the Wadden Sea. All World Heritage Sites, over 1,000 worldwide, have one thing in common: they are each unique in a global comparison. They bring the shared history of mankind and our planet to life. On UNESCO World Heritage Day on June 6, the 46 World Heritage Sites in Germany will be offering guided tours and adventure activities for children and adults as well as virtual offers. On unesco-welterbetag.de there will be live streams, interviews, digital tours and the interactive photo campaign #WelterbeVerbindet. Under the motto "Solidarity and Dialogue", the World Heritage sites show that they are valuable places for encounters and international cooperation, especially in times of crisis. UNESCO World Heritage Day has been held annually since 2005 as a joint campaign by the German Commission for UNESCO and the World Heritage Sites Germany Association.
