Delegation of European World Heritage Sites visits Bacharach

Delegation of European World Heritage Sites in Bacharach

A delegation of European World Heritage Sites visited the Upper Middle Rhine Valley World Heritage Site at the invitation of Claudia Schwarz, Chairwoman of UNESCO World Heritage Sites Germany.

In Bacharach, the Managing Director of Rhein-Nahe Touristik, Christian Kuhn, welcomed the group and accompanied them on a tour of the old town. In addition to the valorization of the tourism potential, current topics such as the difficult staffing situation in the restaurants and accommodation facilities as well as opportunities for the development of the World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley up to BUGA 2029 were also addressed. At the end of the visit, the group was bid farewell with a Rieslingsekt brut from Bacharach, as befits a wine town in a World Heritage Site.
