The tiny community of Breitscheid is an
integral part of the history and happenings of the
"Viertälergebiet" (Four valley region), as
we can also see from a document
dating back to 1250. In terms of its area,
Breitscheid is the smallest village in our
district, and it is also the northern-most and
highest village in the Mainz-Bingen
region. This country village lies nestled
in a hollow surrounded by fields
and meadows. Life here is just
the way it's supposed to be.
